New Year Greetings to Foreign Experts

Dear Foreign Expert Friends,

　　As spring returns, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is once again bathed in a festive atmosphere. On the occasion of the forthcoming New Year’s Day 2026, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province (Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau of Guangdong Province) extends its sincere greetings and heartfelt wishes to all foreign experts working diligently in Guangdong, as well as to their families both at home and abroad.

　　Over the past year, Guangdong has made profound breakthroughs in technological innovation, and delivered fruitful results in open collaboration. Significant strides have been taken toward building the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into an international hub for technological innovation.The Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou innovation cluster has risen to the top spot in the Global Innovation Index. For nine consecutive years, Guangdong has ranked first nationwide in comprehensive regional innovation capability. Key indicators such as R&D expenditure， the number of high-tech enterprises, valid invention patents, and PCT international patent applications continue to be in the leading position of the country, reflecting the strength and influence of Guangdong's technological innovation.  

　　Guangdong is committed to creating a livable, business-friendly, open and inclusive environment for development, attracting an increasing number of high-caliber talents to work and live in the province. These efforts inject a steady stream of wisdom and strength into Guangdong's high-quality development. The achievements we celebrate today are a testament to the talent, dedication, and contributions of all foreign expert friends, for which we are deeply grateful.

　　Looking ahead to 2026, Guangdong will embrace the world with greater openness and attract talent with more pragmatic measures.
